  Joint Enrollment

The Joint Enrollment program allows students to begin a postsecondary program in their chosen career field while attending a Georgia public high school. Students receive college credit only.

To participate in the Joint Enrollment program, the high school student should:

  • Be a legal Georgia resident for at least 1 year or an active military dependant.
  • Be 16 years of age or older and classified as junior or senior.
  • Student must be admitted to a diploma or degree program to receive Hope funds.
  • Meet with his/her high school counselor to determine eligibility for the Joint Enrollment program of his/her choice.
  • Be on track for graduation.
  • Make the minimum scores, for the student’s program of choice, on any of the following:
  • * ASSET
    * SAT (Verbal: 430 and Math: 400)
    * ACT (English: 18 and Math: 16)
  • Complete an Atlanta Technical College application for admission. The application fee is waived for Joint Enrollment students.
  • Submit a Parent Acknowledgement Form (if under 18 yrs old).
  • Students enrolled in the Joint Enrollment program will be eligible for the HOPE Grant. HOPE Grant hours will count toward the HOPE cumulative hours established by the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC).

    Note: Core academic courses are not part of the Joint Enrollment program.
